Some simple tips to try to boost a natural sleep pattern.
It is sometimes necessary, and perfectly acceptable, to take a natural supplement to help get your sleep pattern back on track, or if you are having a rough time and struggling to sleep.
However you may want to try and get yourself back on track by trying to change your habits – to be honest if you are not prepared to change your habits, then a supplement may not work. It is necessary to sometimes look at the things that you can change yourself in order to get the results you want. Here are a couple of tips which may help you get a better quality night sleep, with or without the help of a supplement….
Do not snooze in the morning – if you need to get up at 7am, but you set your alarm for 6.30am in order to prepare yourself for getting up you could be doing more harm than good. Snoozing can really disrupt your sleep cycle – let’s be honest when you snooze your alarm you rarely get back to a deep sleep, instead you lay there, maybe deliberating what you have to get done that day and as a result are awake – even if your eyes are still closed! Try setting your alarm for the time that you actually need to get up and get continue sleeping right to the alarm.
Make your bedtime consistent – by constantly changing your bedtime routine and time, your body cannot relax in preparation for bed. Try a consistent routine, wind down and have a set bedtime and wake up time – regardless of what the day is. This should help your body wake up in the morning when you need to and wind down in the evening ready for sleep. Try this just for a week initially to see if it makes a difference.
We are soon launching our SC Natural Sleep Smart which is a natural supplement to aid your sleep - it should be available in the next week or so, therefore keep a check on the link in the SC Natural product page.
I am a busy mum of two teenage boys, and between them and work I am forever running around. I have always been interested in fitness, and I make sure that exercise features regularly in my life. However many of my friends are not into fitness like me, yet want to be healthy. I want to help people make healthy lifestyle choices which will impact on their fitness, without necessarily feeling the need to throw themselves full force into exercise.
